We had a really enjoyable naming morning at Marco Botti’s yard on Saturday 21st February as Owners decided on a racing name for their 2-year old colt by DUBAWI LEGEND.
The way the process works is every Owner in the syndicate gives us a suggestion, you then vote for a name on the list (other than your own) and the one with the most amount of votes is the winner! We had a clear winner on the day and with 6 votes, ALPHA LEGEND was the chosen one!
ALPHA LEGEND loved having a crowd of people to watch him on Saturday and the young horse looked a real professional! He led the string for their canter up Warren Hill and was completely unphased by the large group of people watching on. He was beautifully relaxed post exercise and walking home which is something Marco really likes to see.
The whole team remain very complimentary about the horse and feel one of his greatest assets is his forward mind! Physically he looks incredibly well with plenty of muscle starting to developing and he is taking everything the team ask of him all in his stride.
Marco plans to gradually increase ALPHA LEGEND’s exercise over the coming weeks and all being well he is on track for a racecourse debut in May. We cannot wait to cheer his new name home!
