Femme Fatale breaks her maiden

Massive congratulations to Owners of FEMME FATALE as she breaks her maiden in style under a fantastic ride from George Wood!

Confidence was fairly high going into the race and FEMME certainly attracted some market support but with another Sir Mark Prescott horse to contend with we couldn’t be certain of her finally breaking the maiden tag. However FEMME FATALE had everything in control from the off: breaking smartly, slotting into a lovely position, and travelling comfortably throughout. As the pace started to quicken coming down the hill, FEMME held her own and always had the Prescott horse in her sights, passing it easily and then toughing it out as the hold up horses started to make a challenge up late on.

Jockey George Wood described the filly as very tough and trainer James Tate echoes that adding “Femme has 3 big qualities, she breaks well so gets a decent position, she keeps galloping and tries very hard!”

We were over the moon for her loyal Owners who have had to be patient for this long term prospect to come into her own. We always felt the further she goes the better she will go and she loved every bit of the 2 mile trip.

FEMME has come out of her race extremely well and will be given 3 weeks before racing again. With confidence high we hope she can continue to improve and secure another win for her Owners this season.

A huge thank you to James Tate and his team – that’s all 3 of our horses with him winning this summer!

Fantastic photographers below as always by the fabulous Darren Cool!
