10th June 2019, Jockey Jason Watson
Congratulations to connections of Dragons Voice as a step up in trip sees him win for the 6th time of his racing career and the 3rd time at Windsor Racecourse!
A huge well done and thank you must go to trainer David Menuisier who believed based on this horse’s breeding and homework that a step up in trip was needed after two disappointing runs this season. It was great to see the horse travel well towards the back of the field and under encouragement from Jason Watson on the turn for home he picked up gamely with a furlong to go, powering home and really relishing the softer conditions.
Jason Watson rode a peach of a ride and said “I did have to get after him on the final bend but he picked up nicely, accelerated away easily and has done the job very well.”
Dragons Voice has come out of his race fresh and well and hopefully over his new trip we can continue to see this son of Poet’s Voice improve. David is mulling over the options and is considering an entry in the bet365 Trophy at Newmarket on 12th July!
Congratulations once again to everyone involved with this horse! He is such a dude and a real favourite amongst the team and we couldn’t be more pleased that he has won for his loving Owners and the Menuisier team who are on fire recently!
