27th February 2022, Jockey Josh Moore
After two impressive wins already this season Legal Rights returned to Fontwell Park on 27th February and under a positive ride from Josh Moore he went onto win his 3rd race over hurdles extremely cosily!
Things didn’t really go to plan for the horse last time out at Huntingdon and he wasn’t 100% healthy post race so after some time to bounce back, he headed into his race at Fontwell fit and well. Stepped up in trip and grade, we did have slight concerns over the drying out ground but we need not worry as the horse put in a fine performance. He appeared to enjoy a positive ride, jumping his hurdles efficiently neatly and as the field kicked for home Legal Rights was travelling sweetly, putting lengths between himself and the field. He went onto win a shade comfortably with his ears pricked and lapped up the attention from his Owners in the winners enclosure!
It was wonderful to give Josh a double on the day and his comments were “he is the perfect jockeys ride and very straightforward. I haven’t had much to do with him and all I had to do today with sit there. He jumped and travelled nicely, is such an economic jumper and the perfect little hurdler in many ways.”
Legal Rights has come out of his race brilliantly well and will be given a few weeks before enjoying one or two more races before a summers break. He’s been such a wonderful horse for Owners this season and it’s been a joy to watch him thrive!
