A superb event with a fantastic host!
Our first owners event of 2014 was an interesting trip to Newsells Park Stud, just outside of Newmarket. It was a fantastic day; the sun shone and we all left with plenty of new knowledge on board!
We got to meet three stallions throughout the day – exceptional sprinter Equiano, Group 1 winner Mount Nelson and the sensational Nathaniel. All three horses looked in fantastic order and it was great to get the opportunity to meet such stars in the racing world. The most exciting bit of the tour for many was meeting some of the mares and their foals. We were lucky enough to meet one of the almighty Frankel’s foals who looked a picture of health and I’m sure will fetch wonders in the sales ring!
We were given a guided and detailed tour of the stud (which is in fact where our 3-year old filly Snow Pearl was bred) and Gary Coffey was such a brilliant host. We were treated to refreshments and got the opportunity to ask Gary questions regarding the set up at the Stud to get an insight into the world behind racing.
We finished the day with a trip to Newmarket Racecourse for the 1000 Guineas meeting where plenty of owners left with a profit! Thank you to you all for joining us and of course to Gary & his team for a superb day.
