A double on this day for Heart of the South Racing as Lightning Spirit wins at Brighton Racecourse!
We were delighted to see this filly win her second career race, she has always been somewhat unlucky and this win was much deserved! She finished second nine days before this race at Brighton, meeting interference in running (as she often seems to!) before storming up the hill that little bit too late.
This time she went off favourite for that previous strong performance. The horse got stuck behind other horses in the first half of her race but George Baker found a gap in the nick of time and the pair hit the front in the final half furlong. We are delighted for Lightning Spirit’s owners!
