25th September 2024 – Jockey – Ryan Moore
The biggest of congratulations to connections of Alpha Crucis as he wins for the 3rd time in his career – his second time at the course! It was thrilling to see jockey Ryan Moore back in the HOTSR silks and he rode the perfect race!
Alpha Crucis responded to Ryan during each stage of the race brilliantly; breaking well, finding his rhythm, travelling strongly, responding through his flat spot and going past the leading duo with ease. He went onto win by a comfortable 6 lengths proving that in this ground he does see the 1m1f trip out easily.
Gary & Josh Moore were delighted for the young horse who really does try his all and we could be in for more fun this autumn with Alf now that his preferred ground looks to be making a return.
A huge thank you to everyone involved in this horse and what another amazing day at Goodwood it was! It’s proving to be one of Alf’s favourite courses so a very wet 2025 Glorious Goodwood we will dream of!
