7th October 2023, Jockey Paul O’Brien
Congratulations to connections of Court In The Act who wins for the first time and on his debut for trainer Harry Derham at Fontwell Park!
The young horse looked exceptionally well in the preliminaries and he definitely knew he was at the races as he strutted around the Parade Ring! He found himself leading the small field throughout but that didn’t seem to bother Court In The Act at all! He travelled very strongly on the bridle and when asked to quick off the bend for home he responded to this brilliantly and just lengthened the distance easily between himself and the rest of the field. Court In The Act hit the line strong 11 lengths in front and it was quite an impressive performance.
Harry was over the moon and said “I was hopeful he’d run a lovely race but didn’t expect him to win quite as easily as he did! He was out in front for a long way on his own but remained ever the professional and I am delighted!”
Court In The Act has come out of his race well and ate up every last oat. He will now be prepped at home to begin his hurdling campaign which we look forward to hugely!
A big thank you to Harry, Oliver and the team for all of their work and well done to lad Kieran who was leading up his first ever winner! The future certainly looks bright for this horse.
