Another classy win from Cilaos Glace

6th April 2019, Jockey Leighton Aspell

Congratulations to the owners of Cilaos Glace as he gives another classy performance to achieve his second win over hurdles – this time at Chepstow!

This son of Voix Du Nord looked a picture of health and despite being on his toes in the preliminaries and racing keen for the first part of his race, Cilaos Glace went onto make it look very easy indeed.

Under another superb ride from Leighton Aspell the pair found themselves in a prominent position with little cover early on and the horse travelled well for the first circuit. Leighton then gave a slight slack of the reins and Cilaos Glace found that extra gear, lengthened his stride and really perfected his jumping. He easily pulled clear and with just a few slaps down the neck, went onto win very comfortably indeed.

Leighton said “he has seen the trip out very well and his jumping has improved no end. He is a nice horse with a bright future ahead of him.”

We are thrilled for all involved with this gorgeous horse and are really looking forward to his future. Oliver is mulling over whether or not we are to race the horse once more this season or indeed give him a well deserved break. We are also so pleased his loyal Owners are choosing to support Cilaos Glace for another season – we cannot wait to see him jump a fence next year!
