These have been strange and challenging times for us all and we have had adapt to things slightly at Heart of the South. However we continue to pride ourselves on our communication with our Owners and are working hard to maintain they enjoy their experience as much as possible. We are forever thank you for their support.
Although some aspects have changed, we are delighted that the trainers we have selected have kept their yards open for Owners to visit their horses when they wish to. Group visits are now reduced numbers and there are safety measures in place but it is still a great morning to get out and enjoy seeing your horse in action on the gallops.
Owners are able to go racing now too! There is a limit of 4-6 badges available so we are operating in a new way of having to do a ballot which we feel is the fairest method and hopefully this can be eased in time. There is now no limit on arrival/departure times and Owners are able to enjoy as much or as little of the racing and whilst they cannot access the Parade Ring for now, they can get right up to it, there are zones to speak with the trainer/jockey and many of our Owners have enjoyed the experience!
To those Owners currently shielding we now do a video with the trainer prior to the race sharing their thoughts, photos/videos from the race meeting are sent throughout the course of the day and there is also a debrief message from the jockey in the form of a video, voice note or text! Thank you to our trainers & jockeys for their added help!
We also help with winning horse shoes for Owners on request, with race day photos and you will be fully up-to-date with the relevant information when attending the races with your horse.
Whilst it is a different experience, we promise it will still be a safe & enjoyable one!
