24th July 2017, Jockey Richard Kingscote
Trainer Philip Hide had been waiting a while for the rain to fall and the ideal race to be available for 3-year old Dragons Voice, and we are delighted that it all came together for both trainer and horse at Windsor Racecourse last night as Dragons Voice wins for the second time!
The horse has been extremely consistent this year and after winning on his handicap debut at Nottingham in May, finishing a close third last time out and now another comfortable win under his belt, you can imagine the celebrations amongst his 20 owners!
Going into his Windsor race the horse looked absolutely fantastic and was on his toes when jockey Richard Kingscote mounted. Dragons Voice once again broke brilliantly from the stalls and was able to sit in a handy position where after a few strides he settled into a lovely rhythm. Richard Kingscote pushed the go button with a furlong to go, and with just one hard crack of the whip Dragons Voice picked up strongly and went onto win with a little in hand!
Richard’s comments were “he made it all look very easy and loved every single bit of the softer ground. He never looked like he would get beaten, and you should be in for more fun with him this season and beyond.”
Full credit to trainer Philip Hide for his hard work behind the scenes with Dragons Voice, particularly all the stalls work he has done with this horse which has clearly paid off and worked in the horse’s favor on each of his starts.
Well done Dragons Voice – and congratulations to connections!
