Congratulations to all owners on another fantastic win from this gutsy veteran! After an unseat at Stratford last time out, it was brilliant to see Fruity O’Rooney get his nose in front. He won this race in 2013 and is a bit of a track specialist around Fontwell Park (infact he’s won 5 of his races here!)
Jamie Moore was very confident going into this race saying Fruity was ‘the best he had felt in a long time’ and he was sure the horse could win – and how right he was! Fruity O’Rooney led the field for the entire race, jumping bolding and not putting a single hoof wrong! He had his ears pricked throughout and thoroughly enjoyed every single second. The horse just kept giving more each time he was asked and battled right to the very line.
It truly was heart warming to hear our popular horse come home to a huge cheer from the grandstand – well done Fruity!
