First time out in Heart of the South Racing’s colours and Gentlemusic wins easily at Chelmsford City Racecourse!
On paper the race looked competitive with three progressive Godolphin horses to beat but our filly had obviously progressed too, and with fitness on her side, she ran a blinder. She also stayed on well and post race jockey Marc Monaghan reported “she was very game and will stay further.”
We are absolutely delighted for her owners, you really all deserve this fantastic win. After sadly losing Snow Pearl last month we hope this win has put smiles back on your faces! It is great to have another winner with Marco Botti too!
Marco will wait until we receive our new handicap rating next Tuesday before deciding Gentlemusic’s next race but has said in the long-term he would like to “step her up in class and head to either France or Italy where the prize money is better” so there is lots to look forward to in this partnership.
