4th July 2013, Jockey George Baker
What an evening this horse provided his owners when finishing a very close second at Epsom Racecourse!
The horse broke well from the stalls and travelled beautifully throughout his race under a positive ride from George Baker. With a furlong left to go there wasn’t much in it between Good Luck Charm and his rival Balty Boys and when they crossed the line together we had everything crossed in the photo finish that Good Luck Charm had his head in front! However, we JUST got beat on the line – we don’t know how they called a winner (you will see what we mean from the photo below!)
None the less it was a fantastic evening; the sun shone and all 20 of Good Luck Charm’s owners were in attendance for this thrilling evening at the races! It was a shame Good Luck Charm was incredibly unlucky but it was a brilliant performance from the horse and it will certainly be a day at the races his owners will be talking about for a very long time!
