11th August 2017, Jockey Hector Crouch
Gary Moore trained Good Luck Charm wins for the fourth time at Brighton Racecourse, his sixth race of his career so far! Well done to the popular horse and congratulations to his owners.
Things didn’t go to plan for the horse last time out at Newmarket, but Gary was confident that a return to Brighton would see Good Luck Charm return to his winning ways – and how right he was! Jockey Hector Crouch sat in a good midfield position as Good Luck Charm traveled strongly underneath him, powering down the Brighton Hill! With 1/2 a furlong to go Hector started to ask for more from Good Luck Charm and he just kept on giving, sticking his neck out when Still Waiting came upsides and going onto win a thriller of a finish by a short head!
Hector gets on with this horse ever so well and was full of praise post race saying “he wanted that win today! He tried very hard and held off his younger rival well. He feels great in himself and Brighton is obviously his favourite track!”
We must also give a huge thank you to Gary Moore who has done a sensational job with this horse over the last 6 years. At 8-years old it is an absolute joy to see Good Luck Charm still winning and enjoying his racing. He now has 6 wins under his belt, has been in the winners enclosure 29 times and has won over £21,000 in prize money – statistics certainly not to be sniffed at!
The horse has come out of his win very well and was raised just a pound for his win. Gary is hopeful Good Luck Charm can return to the winners enclosure again very soon!
Congratulations to connections! We know that Good Luck Charm is very special to a lot of his owners (including the team at HOTSR!) and it was a win that was celebrated very hard!

Sam, That was my 10th win as an owner with HOTSR. And probably one of the best days.
