Raven’s Lady winning the William Hill Group 3 Stakes at York on 13th July 2018 was not only a fabulously thrilling experience for her Owners, but it was Heart of the South Racing’s first Group victory! 15 days on, we are still on cloud 9 following this tough filly’s victory and felt it was only right to celebrate the win with those connected closely with Raven’s Lady!
In July we held a gathering at the Kings Hotel in Newmarket with 5 of Raven’s Lady Owners and their partners, trainer Marco Botti and several of his team including her lass, her regular rider Rhys, Marco’s assistant trainer, the farrier and plenty more key members of staff who often get forgotten about behind the scenes.
We popped into see our superstar at the yard (and took several selfies with her!) before watching many replays of her win, distributing the winning mementos amongst her owners, giving a special thank you to 4 people who work closely with Raven’s Lady and raising a glass or two of champagne to this once in a lifetime racehorse! It was a hugely enjoyable evening and thank you to the Kings Hotel for putting on such a great event.
Raven’s Lady next potential targets are a Group 1 in Deauville on 5th August or in Baden Baden on Saturday 26th August next for the Group 2 Goldene Peitsche over 6f.
