Congratulations to all connections as South Cape wins again! This was the horse’s fifth win of his racing career and he won well here today.
Being a hold up horse, jockey Matthew Davies kept South Cape tucked in amongst horses throughout the 7 furlong trip. Two furlongs from home and the pair made their move, leading with a furlong left. The rest of the field were fast closing (see photo below) but South Cape just kept responding each time he was asked and crossed the line to an encore of cheers.
Having bred South Cape ourselves, it has been a thrill to watch him improve with each run and now rated 89 we can’t wait to see what he has in store for the seasons ahead.
