A successful Owners Event and a winner – a day to remember!
On Monday 10th June we were joined by 80 Heart of the South owners to enjoy raceday hospitality at Brighton racecourse. We did a tour of the course (where some owners ventured to the start), we had a talk from clerk of the course Edward Arkle, and we had Colin Brown (Desert Orchids ex-jockey) pick us out a few winners when reading through the racecard. We also got to enjoy a delicious meal combined with great company before spending the rest of the afternoon reflecting on our several winners over the 2012/13 seasons. Congratulations to all who won mementos courtesy of their winning racehorses, we hope they take pride of place on your mantelpieces! Thank you also to Brighton Racecourse for their superb hospitality.
We ended the day on such a fantastic high when we saw our own Good Luck Charm get his nose in front and win the 4:45pm race. It was a brilliant ride from George Baker, tracking his way through the field before hitting the front in the last half a furlong to secure Good Luck Charm’s second career win! There was such a great turnout of Heart of the South Owners to cheer him home too and it really was the cherry on top of a brilliant day.
Thank you to all who were a part of our event, we hope you enjoyed your day as much as we did!
