2021 saw 25 years of Heart of the South Racing and we celebrated such an occasion with 130 of our Owners with a Summer BBQ at Beggars Barn on Saturday 21st August!
Our Sam Bridle was on arrival to greet guests before they made their way over to the bar for arrival Pimms and champagne with Caroline and Eloise. We then tucked into the most delicious BBQ (served by MD Food4Thought) which included chicken, sausages, salads and went down very well with our Owners!
Over the past 12 months we have been very fortunate to collect a nice amount of winning mementos won by our horses, most recently being the lovely Aiguillette at Lingfield Park and these were distributed to our Owners on Saturday. Congratulations to those of you pictured below who won a prize!
We also launched our new breeding syndicate with the wonderfully tough 4-time winning mare Ruby Yeats! This will be something we will be looking towards during Spring 2022 so if it is of interest then please do get in touch.
Following this we enjoyed some friendly competition during our sweepstake for the Ebor Handicap at York and then a demonstration with ex-racehorse Royal Battalion and a parade with our foal (who will be syndicated in 2022) with her mare.
It was the most enjoyable afternoon and a huge thanks to John & Caroline for their hospitality, to Callum, Carli and Luke who helped on the day, to the MD Food4Thought team for the delicious food and everyone who came to celebrate such a fantastic occasion. The last 25 years would not have been possible without the continuous support of our lovely Owners so thank you and here’s to the next few years!
Thank you so much to Gerry for the below photographs.
