We are delighted to have the very exciting ENEMY LINES amongst our string. He not only has shown plenty of promise when finishing 2nd on his debut at Doncaster recently, but he is by the exciting sire INVINCIBLE ARMY who was also trained by James Tate!
INVINCIBLE ARMY was an early 2yo who made his debut in May 2017 finishing second by a short head. It therefore came as no surprise that his next run (in a Class 4 Novice at Newmarket) was a win! During his 2yo campaign INVINCIBLE ARMY had 8 races and he never finished out of the winners enclosure – ENEMY LINES has certainly started his racing career in the same way! During his 2yo campaign INVINCIBLE ARMY won the totepool Sirenia Stakes (Group 3), was 2nd in the Qatar Richmond Stakes (Group 2) at Goodwood and also 2nd in the Dubai Duty Free Mill Reef Stakes (Group 2) at Newbury.
After some time to mature he commenced his 3yo season at Ascot and won first time out comfortably in the Merriebelle Stable Pavilion Stakes (Group 3.) He followed this up with a close 2nd in the Armstrong Aggregates Sandy Lane Stakes (Group 2) and ran a respectable race in Group 1 level for the first time at Royal Ascot in the Commonwealth Cup.
Another year older and the winning streak continued for INVINCIBLE ARMY! He won a Listed contest first time out during this season followed by another cosy win in the Duke Of York Clipper Logistics Stakes (Group 2) and success in the Betfair Exchange Chipchase Stakes (Group 3.) He was 5th in Betfair Sprint Cup Stakes (Group 1) (British Champions Series) at Haydock Park, 3rd at Curragh in Derrinstown Stud Flying Five Stakes (Group 1) and just 4 lengths behind the winner in the Prix de l’Abbaye de Longchamp Longines (Group 1) (2yo+) (Sprint Course) before retiring to stud duties.
As a Sire he’s done quite well with Listed and Group 2 winner James’s Delight, Listed winners Capitana Bling and Balmoral Lady, 6-time winner Trefor, 5-time winner Vantheman and 2-time winner Kitty Rose to name but a few!
James thoroughly enjoyed training INVINCIBLE ARMY and feels ENEMY LINES has inherited many traits such as his size, genuine mind, big heart and love for his job. He really hopes this colt can follow in his father’s footsteps!
