A very enjoyable trip overseas to the island of Jersey!
This trip was our first owners event in 2013 and proved to be a very successful one indeed. We took 3 Heart of the South horses (Good Luck Charm, Lightning Spirit & Amen) and 90 owners across to Jersey for a brilliant weekend away.
All 3 horses lined up for the Guineas Day and we had been hopeful each of them would have excellent chances. However the ferry journey over wasn’t as smooth as we’d have hoped and it took quite a lot out of the horses, effecting their result on the racecourse. None the less it was a very enjoyable day in the sunshine and brilliant to be at the picturesque racecourse on their biggest day.
We stayed in the Raddison Blu Hotel which was lovely and enjoyed a delicious three course meal the night before racing followed by plenty of glasses of wine and our popular quiz! It was a huge success and we would like to thank you all for being a part of this spectacular weekend – we’d love to do something like this again but perhaps we’ll wait until the sea is less choppier!
