25th July 2015, Jockey George Baker
Big congratulations to all on Jupiter Storm’s fifth career win! The horse gave a brilliant performance, battling hard to the line and was given a peach of a ride by George Baker.
The first time visor seemed to do the trick with this horse and it was evident that the step up in trip to 2 miles suited him very well. Jupiter Storm broke well from the stalls and set a good pace out in front. At one point George Baker did slow the pace down and Hiorne Tower came alongside Jupiter Storm. However our boy was not being passed without a fight and it was great to see Jupiter Storm responding well under pressure and fighting his way back to get up on the line and win by the smallest of margins.
After the race George was very pleased with Jupiter Storm and felt had that horse not joined us on the turn for home then Jupiter Storm would have come home several lengths clear. Trainer Gary Moore was also encouraged by the run, particularly with how hard the horse tried.
Jupiter Storm will spend a few days on the easy before appearing on the racecourse again in 3-4 weeks time. Congratulations to all owners once again – Jupiter Storm was certainly a deserved winner of that photo finish!
