An Owners Event to remember!
47 owners of Heart of the South Racing enjoyed 3 fabulous days in Ireland in April 2009. We stayed in one of Dublin’s finest hotels (Brooks, Dury Street), visited the beautiful Darley Stud at Kildangan and then had a very profitable time at the Punchestown Festival.
We enjoyed first class accommodation and great food (not to mention fabulous company!) at the hotel but the highlight of our trip had to meeting the incredible specimens of horses at Kildangan Stud. We were able to view and pat the likes of Cape Cross, Raven’s Pass, Authorized, Shamardal and Refuse to Bend. This was followed by refreshments at the beautiful Kildangan House.
Racing at the Punchestown Festival was like no other. The atmosphere was just incredible when the crowd cheered home the winner of the Grade 1 Irish Champion Hurdle and nearly all owners, left the track with some profit. Fantastic! We hope to hold a similar event one day.
Message from Gina:
Hi John and Eloise, thank you so much for organising such a great trip, and also sorting out the weather. We really enjoyed the whole experience, and we were so pleased that we had a few winners at the races, which for us is very unusual so we won’t forget that in a hurry.
And thank you for making my 60th birthday so memorable, it really was a great birthday party!!
