27th October 2011, Jockey Ryan Moore
It has been a long time coming and her owners have had to show plenty of patience but it was great to see Lightning Spirit win at the ninth time of asking under a great ride from Ryan Moore at Kempton Park. Gary Moore has always had faith in our unlucky filly and it was fantastic for all concerned to see him proven right.
Ryan Moore is a brilliant jockey and his ability to get Lightning Spirit out of the stalls quickly and into a good position was decisive. Ryan rode a great finish too, pushing our horse out with hands and heels to win by 3/4 length.
Congratulations to all – let’s hope there are more wins to come from Lightning Spirit.
