We are absolutely delighted to share with you that our mare Lucky Dice gave birth on Saturday 14th May to a big, strong foal. This colt is a half brother to 5-time winner Good Luck Charm, 3-time winner Lightning Spirit, 2-time winner The Shuffler and soon to be winner Lucky Leyf (we assure you!) so he certainly comes from a winning family. He is by Darley Stallion Epaulette who won two Group 1 races throughout his racing career, and has his first crop of 2-year olds out this year – we will be watching with interest!
We are pleased to say both mum and foal are doing very well. The foal was born at Beggars Barn Stud (with John and Caroline Penny as midwives!) and as you can see in the photographs below the colt is thoroughly enjoying his early days in the spring sunshine.
From the last photo I can see where GLC gets his tongue poking out habit from!! Congratulations Lucky Dice, such a beautiful foal.
It must run in the family Shelley! Let’s hope this boy wins 5 races (and counting) like Good Luck Charm! 🙂
