5th September 2013, Jockey George Baker
Marmalady wins her second race of 2013, just eight days after achieving her first! Many congratulations to all owners and to her lass, Phoebe.
After winning in a stylish fashion during her first win, trainer Gary Moore decided to run Marmalady again quickly before the handicapper caught up with her. Therefore the filly returned to Kempton Park carrying a 6lbs penalty on this date.
However it didn’t seem to phase Marmalady as she was quickly away from the stalls (admittedly getting to the front sooner than ideal) and after getting into a rhythm jockey George Baker knew she had plenty left to give when turning into the home straight. They went onto win strongly by 2 lengths with an encore of Heart of the South owners to cheer them home!
Marmalady has blossomed into a winning racehorse in just over a week and it looks like we could be in for some more fun with this horse, may her winning streak continue!
