About Lover Desbois
5-year old Lover Desbois was purchased from Goffs UK Store Sales by Bloodstock Agent Ed Bailey after he and Harry loved the horse’s athleticism, fluid movement and air of presence.
As with most chasers in the making, he has required a little time and shaped with such promise on his bumper debut in November. He’d clearly matured further as he was the complete professional when winning in impressive fashion at Kempton Park in February 2026 and his injection of speed was very eye-catching! The £100,000 Goffs Bumper at Newbury on 21/3 will be his next target!

French sire Beaumec De Houelle was a top-class French hurdler and a son of the brilliant Martaline. His first crop had their first season last year and have certainly started making the mark with many winners in the form of hurdle winner & Listed placed La Pinsonniere, 3-time winner Rue Taylor and 2-time winner Claim Du Brizais. The Dam Rose Hever won 4 races and she is by Doctor Dino who is a proven Group 1 performer and a notable jumps sire.
