About Sea A Lucky Star

This flashy filly was purchased by trainer Josh Moore in Ireland and was very popular for syndication with all 20 shares selling out in 10 days! It comes as no surprise however as she is beautifully bred by the legendary Sea The Stars and out of a Dubawi mare. She is a lovely mover with an incredible walk and plenty of bone but was a box-walker (hence her price) which has been rectified with some TLC from team Moore.

Newly named Sea A Lucky Star is very much a long-term prospect who will only improve with age but will make her debut this autumn over 7 furlongs before increasing to 1 mile and targetting her optimum trip as a 3-year old and beyond.

Pedigree

By the phenomanel Group 1 winner Sea The Stars this filly is bred for stamina. Her dam, Malakoot, may have been unraced but she has an exceptional pedigree being by Dubawi and a full sibling to Group 2 Prix Hocquart Longines winner Al Hilalee and Black Type Roger Varian trained Imperial Quarter. The second Dam was a frequent Group winner who produced Group 1 winning filly Teona (by Frankel) and Godolphin bought her full brother as a foal last year for a million Euros with Juddmonte the underbidders.
