Another win for owners as Mohanad wins at Huntingdon, achieving his third win of the season!
Successful on the flat this year at Kempton and Lingfield, this was Mohanad’s first win over hurdles since October 2009. He had been contesting high grade and valuable races over hurdles including the Coral Cup at Cheltenham and the Silver Trophy at Chepstow, but back at his own grade he was a convincing winner under top weight.
Marc Goldstein gave the horse a fantastic ride, keeping him in a good position throughout and committing early. Only one horse could go with Mohanad and it looked for a moment like Mohanad might run out of steam but he found more when asked and went on to a comfortable 4½ length win.
