Ruby Yeats by Yeats - We don’t know where the time has gone but Ruby Yeats' first foal is now a yearling! She has developed hugely over the past couple of months and is thriving out in the paddocks with her friends. We will be visiting her again in the spring with her breeding syndicate Owners.
Walk In The Wild by Walk In The Park – Things haven’t quite gone to plan for Walk In The Wild thus far this season so whilst he’s had a quieter period he’s received some attention to his wind and seen the physio for some beneficial treatments. He seems in excellent order and we are praying for some rain at Huntingdon 08/02, Fontwell 14/02, Leicester 15/02 or Lingfield Park 22/02.
Legal Rights by Hunter’s Light – After an encouraging debut for the Toby Lawes yard Legal Rights had a minor wind op over the Christmas period. He recovered well and went into his race at Plumpton last Monday in great order. However, he was caught out by the fast early pace over the 2m4f trip and is likely to step up to 3m next time in the hope we see some improvement. Options include Huntingdon 08/02 or Lingfield Park 13/02.
King Of Ithaca by Ulysses – After a successful first season with James Tate, King Of Ithaca enjoyed a break over the winter. He’s now commenced ridden work and will be prepped for a return to racing action in March.
Alpha Crucis by Australia – Winter holidays are over for Alpha Crucis who is now back at Cisswood Stables for ridden work. Excitingly he’s been entered in the 2024 Lincoln and this will be the first target he is trained towards
Spirit D’Aunou by Triple Threat – Spirit D’Aunou gave arguably one of his best performances visually when returning to Sandown Park on 09/12. He travelled strongly, jumping out of the heavy ground beautifully and went onto secure his 5th career win a tad cosily under Niall Houlihan. Spirit D’Aunou has been a little unlucky since with 4 abandonments due to the weather but his next target looks to be the Betfair Hurdle at Newbury on 10/02.
Court In The Act by Court Cave – Court In The Act gave his Owners the best Christmas present when heading to Kempton Park for their King George meeting on Boxing Day and leading from pilar to post to win for the first time over hurdles! Trainer Harry Derham couldn’t be happier with the young horse and would like to target him next at Ludlow on 21/03 in the hope we can then qualify for Sandown Park’s finale fixture in April.
Kotari by Nathaniel – Kotari has enjoyed 4 runs over hurdles now with his most recent at Plumpton on Monday being his most encouraging. In the first-time hood Kotari settled much better during the early part of his race and travelled well. He came under pressure off the bend but kept boxing on to finish 4th and we were delighted. He is certain to win in this sphere.
Tara's Light by Kayf Tara – Tara’s Light unfortunately sustained a setback in November and despite being given lots of time to recuperate we have decided that the best thing for her is to now retire from racing. The good news however is we’ve managed to find a nice home for her and she’ll be given some time before seeing if she can be a successful broodmare. We will really miss this sweetie but wish her a long and happy retirement.
Lady Twilight by Twilight Son – Lady Twilight has enjoyed a break over the winter and appears to have matured both mentally and physically during her break. She’s now back at Gary’s yard for her conditioning exercise and will be back racing in March time when the ground will hopefully remain on the softer side.
Pyrotechnic by Nathaniel – After an encouraging 2nd at Lingfield, we hoped to see Pyrotechnic build on this on his subsequent run at Newbury. He led throughout and perhaps got into his natural striding pattern a tad too easy with him going 15 lengths clear! Unfortunately he did go too fast in the heavy ground and when under pressure he unfortunately made a noise and Pyrotechnic has since had a wind operation.
Bridge by Golden Horn – Bridge was our other Boxing Day runner who landed his first success over hurdles at Fontwell Park! The young horse was keen early on but acted on the softer ground better than the others and went onto win his race decisively. He followed this up with a solid 3rd at Southwell in January (the continuous fast pace and drying out ground perhaps went against him) and he’s capable of winning off his mark hopefully in February!
Un-named by Iffraaj – We couldn’t be happier with our 2yo by Iffraaj who is in training with James Tate. He has not put a hoof wrong and looks to have matured brilliantly over the winter. He’s really enjoying leading the small string up the grass for their canter and is such a free moving horse. His future does look very bright! Just TWO 10% shares remain in this syndicate – join our stable visit on 17/02!
Parikarma by Canford Cliffs – Parikarma is our new lease horse with Gary Moore to enjoy for 2024! She is a 5-time winning mare over both codes and her most recent victory came at Leicester on 10/01. Gary feels she will be a fun horse for Owners this year and her next likely target is Kempton Park 09/02. 5% lease shares are available at £1375 each – this price includes all fees and expenses until 31/12/24!
