Dragons Voice by Poet’s Voice – Dragons Voice ran encouragingly last time out in a veterans race at Hamilton. He travelled sweetly and looked poised to go onto run a big race but 63 days away from the track took its toll and he got tired in the closing stages. He drops in grade at Southwell on Thursday which could potentially be his last run before he retires from racing & finds a lifelong home. Hopefully he can finish in the frame!
Trafalgar Boy by Mount Nelson – Trafalgar Boy has now commenced light ridden work and looks incredibly well. He is moving brilliantly, looks super happy to be back in exercise and is making good, steady progress.
Good Luck Charm by Doyen –Good Luck Charm stepped up to a mile at Kempton Park last week and ran a decent race to despite missing the break and any chance of a prominent position. We are hoping he can return to Lingfield Park next time & secure his 10th win before the end of the year where he is set to be retired from racing.
Poetic Lilly by Poet’s Voice – We were delighted to see Poetic Lilly achieve her first win at Lingfield Park in September! She overcame her wide draw under a positive ride from Josephine Gordon as she travelled well, toughing it out in the finish and going onto win a touch comfortably. The pair will reunite at Southwell on Thursday.
Riohacha by Sea The Moon –Riohacha was making fantastic progress at Gary Moore’s yard and really catching the eye on the gallops. However as always with racing there are the highs and lows and the horse has been a little sore behind. The team at Cisswood believe Riohacha has the potential to be a very nice horse and as a precaution we are awaiting a bone scan to determine where the soreness is coming from.
Quloob by New Approach –Quloob has been quite busy recently with a first win over hurdles at Fontwell Park then finishing 4th twice – once over hurdles and once on the flat – and yet again finishing in the frame for his Owners! Quloob will have a good few weeks to freshen up before targeting another hurdle race.
Ruby Yeats by Yeats - Ruby Yeats is preparing to race later this month. Trainer Gary Moore is keen to try hurdling and chasing this season and feels there is more to come from this mare who rounded off last season with two wins over hurdles! ONE 5% lease share at £1250–covers all fees/expenses until 30/04/21!
Walk In The Wild by Walk In The Park –Walk In The Wild is an interesting NH prospect and is now set to make his debut in bumpers. Targets include Ffos Las 18/10, Hereford 21/10 or Lingfield on 22/10. He is a big lad with plenty more furnishing to come but should be a lovely chaser if nurtured the right way. We can’t wait to get him started as anything he does now is a bonus.
Pivotal Time by Pivotal – Pivotal Time has once again changed in shape and looked much more in proportion with himself when we visited him this week. He is striding out beautifully up the gallops and trainer David Menuisier is keen to get him on the racecourse later on this year. He believes he will be an exciting turf horse and is expected to progress with age. FOUR 5% shares for sale!
Isayalittleprayer by Nathaniel – Isayalittleprayer enjoyed a break to freshen up and is now back at Cisswood Stables undertaking fast work. She will race on the flat this autumn/winter (on soft ground) before getting schooled up to run over hurdles before 2020 is over! We feel there is plenty to look forward to with this filly.
Invincible Lass by Invincible Spirit –We had hoped to see Invincible Lass race this autumn but she just requires some more time and thankfully her Owners are willing to give her just that. Therefore the filly will be turned away at grass until December and we will look towards her 3yo campaign.
Aiguillette by Epaulette –We are still unsure how Aiguillette lost his latest race & were so convinced it was going to be a dead heat not another second (this was his 5th second from his last 6 starts!) Unfortunately since then Aiguillette was found to have a chip in his knee which could offer an explanation as to why he has been denied his first win many times. He will be treated accordingly before returning to racing next Spring. We are thrilled that this fun syndicate is to continue for another season!
Cilaos Glace by Voix Du Nord – Cilaos Glace is in fast work as he prepares to return to chasing this October, possibly after a pipe opener over hurdles to get things underway. This classy sort looked in great shape on the gallops this week and ready to get back where he belongs – in the Winners Enclosure!
Dama Bianca by Adaay – Dama Bianca is set to make her racecourse debut over 7 furlongs at Kempton Park this Friday. It will definitely be a learning curve for her and we are looking forward to getting her started.
Waikiki Waves by Alexandros –Waikiki Waves returned to Fontwell Park on Saturday to commence his 2020/21 season and ran a really nice race despite being very outpaced. His jumping maybe wasn’t quite as fluent as we have seen previously but he was finishing the strongest up the home straight and will definitely come on for the run. He is likely to return to Fontwell Park on 21/10 over a more favourable trip of 2m5f.
