Here at Heart of the South Racing, we’ve spent over three decades successfully managing horseracing syndicates and in this industry experience is everything.
Our reputation and commitment to both our loyal owners and beloved horses is highly established within the racing industry and is why so many people choose us to enjoy their ownership experience and indeed stay with us for many years.
We strive to make our Owners feel like they own their horse outright by providing small and friendly syndicates with just 10 or 20 owners. This approach delivers full-owner benefits at a fraction of the cost.

Honesty
We believe transparency and honesty is at the heart of it all. We pride ourselves on our clear, honest communication and keep our owners in the loop on what’s going on at every stage, building trust and long-term relationships along the way. Indeed it’s why many of our owners have been with us for a number of years.
Owners also have peace of mind that there are no hidden fees, and as members of the Racehorse Syndicates Association we adhere to a code of conduct to ensure our costs are fair and clear. Each syndicate has its own Weatherbys bank account for full accounts transparency and 100% of the prize money goes to owners – as it should.
Entertainment
Being involved in racehorse ownership should be an exciting and rewarding experience. Our owners enjoy such an involvement with unlimited access to the gallops, choosing and toasting champagne to your horse’s racing name, discussing race plans with your trainer, meeting your fellow owners in the parade ring on a race day, heart-pounding action as your horse crosses over the line, and hopefully (with a bit of luck) celebrating in style in the Winners Enclosure!
In addition, we offer sociable Owner Events during the year. So if you are looking for racehorse ownership that’s truly involved with plenty of events and chances to meet your horse and the team behind them – then we’ve got the setup you’re after.
Horse Welfare
We’re committed to putting our horses’ welfare first and our syndicates are managed by a team who have grown up with a genuine love for horses. Owners get peace of mind that their horse’s wellbeing is made a top priority at every stage of their career and consequently we attract owners with the same important values.
Our horses are purchased with longevity in mind and the majority of our syndicates carry on for many years. However, should a horse sadly need to retire due to age, injury or they’re simply not in love with the game, we will always endeavour to work hard to find them the most suitable (not just the quickest) life-long home. Seeing them excel in a new sphere is such a rewarding part of our job.
