Aiguillette is one of our most consistent horses with many placed efforts to his name so you can imagine how delighted his lovely Owners were when he secured his first career win in August 2021! He is by Group 1 winner Epaulette, in training with Gary Moore, and is a half sibling to 9-time winner Good Luck Charm.
Aiguillette was a late developer who took a little time to come together. However towards the back end of his 3-year old season Aiguillette finished 2nd 3 times on the bounce, before continuing to cement another two second placed finishes early in his 4yo campaign.
However Aiguillette’s best moment had to be on 16th August 2021 where he achieved his first ever win! He had been the bridesmaid for so long with many placed finishes and it was fantastic to see it all come together for the horse under a great ride from Rhys Clutterbuck. We were so delighted for the horse, the team and his Owners and he followed this up with another 3rd and close 2nd under William Buick once again providing a fantastic season!
After a busy 2021 Aiguillette enjoyed a holiday and is now back at Gary Moore’s yard to embark on a new season. He got things underway at Lingfield Park in April and ran well, staying on strongly before race fitness just caught him out. Gary believes we are in for another fun year with this horse and he is handicapped to win more races.

Epaulette by Commands
Epaulette was a precious sort and a winner of the Group 1 Golden Rose Stakes and the Group 3 Beck Caulfield Guineas at the age of two. He also finished a close third in the Gr1 Darley TJ Smith Stakes behind Black Caviar at 40-1!
A new Sire on the block, he is making his mark ad has produced the likes of International Man, Doublet, Sankari Royale and Rogue.
Lucky Dice by Perugino
Lucky Dice is a much loved mare at Heart of the South and we are delighted she has produced such a lovely type to end her broodmare career. The gelding comes from a family of winners including dual winner The Shuffler, 3-time winner Lightning Spirit and her most successful offspring, 9-time winner Good Luck Charm. Interestingly, all her offspring are kind and well-mannered sorts also.
Lucky Dice herself was a winner of four races in Norway over 1 mile or less. She is a half sister to 1m winner Bola Alaska, and 6f winner Valatrix out of a half sister to Gr3 winner Royal Millennium.
