Laurier Des Obeaux is our 2024 National Hunt store horse in training with Gary & Josh Moore.
This beautiful 4yo was purchased at the prestigious Tattersalls Ireland Derby Sale in June by HOTSR and Bloodstock agent Ed Bailey (who recently purchased our other cracking store horse Lover Desbois who sold out in 2 weeks!) Laurier Des Obeaux came highly recommended and just oozes class and substance, whilst being athletic. He has an exciting young NH pedigree with all the qualities to shape up into a decent chaser.
He is by 5-time winner German bred Bathyrhon – in the top 5 of French NH Sire’s – who won two Group races during his career as well as being very close 2nd in the Group 1 Qatar Prix du Cadran and the Group 2 Prix Maurice de Nieuil. As a sire he is certainly an increasingly popular one being the son of legendry Monsun, having produced several Graded winners including Isatis De L’Ecu, Bathyscaphe, Bunting, Fautinette and Obsessedwithyou.
The Dam, Ardeur des Obeaux, was placed several times over both codes in France (6 times over jumps!) and she is a full sister to dual Listed winner Verdure des Obeaux. Her established NH sire is Sadler Maker who was responsible for Cheltenham Festival Grade 1 winning legends Apple’s Jade and Bristol De Mai. Already this young Dam has produced a winner (from just 1 runner) 2-time winner and consistently placed Hermine des Obeaux. She also has 2 other offspring approaching racing age which we look forward to following.
Trainers Gary & Josh Moore are delighted to have this cracking youngster in their yard and Gary in particular likes seeing both Sadler Maker and Monsun in pedigree. The horse has done very well with his pre-training and will be arriving at Cisswood Stables for full training in January. .

Syndicate details
This is a 20-owner syndicate allowing owners maximum involvement with their horse and trainer but sharing the costs and most importantly the fun. Prices are inclusive of all fees and costs, there is nothing extra to pay during the agreement. Statements detailing the syndicates finances are sent every quarter and all VAT is reclaimed on behalf of owners.
There is one complimentary Owners & Trainers Badge or Syndicate Owner Badge every time the horse runs. Owners and their guests are welcome to visit their horse on the gallops during group stable visits or independently.
