Ruby Yeats’ first foal!
Ruby Yeats has been a wonderful horse to be involved with since we started leasing her in 2019.
As a racehorse she provided her Owners with many fabulous days at the races including 4 wins, 6 placed efforts and many fond memories. She was retired from racing in 2022 and went onto commence Broodmare duties.
Ruby took to her new role brilliantly and was covered successfully on 1st April 2022 by Group 3 winning Stallion Planteur and her pregnancy ran rather smoothly.
She did however like to keep us waiting for her first foal to arrive and finally at 1.30am on 27/03 Ruby gave birth to a beautiful chestnut filly. She is utterly adorable and is a very correct and strong foal who already has inherited her mother’s sassy side!
The pair are currently out daily grazing in the paddocks with other mares and foals before coming in at night. Ruby looks absolutely brilliant and has taken to motherhood very naturally. She will remain with her foal for the first 6 months before weaning commences and the foal will then be out in the paddocks with other foals.
We are so very happy and excited to finally have this little filly arrive and Ruby is a super mum! Our breeding syndicate Owners will soon be deciding on this lady’s foal name and we cannot wait to see her grow over the summer months.
