With the rain still absent we returned to the AW with 3yo FEMME FATALE on Saturday at Lingfield Park. After an encouraging 2nd at the course last time out, FEMME FATALE went one place better and scored her first career win! The race wasn’t 100% ran to suit the filly but she still broke well, travelled strongly and really tried hard in the closing stages to secure her first victory under a great ride from George Wood. We always felt the further FEMME FATALE goes the better she will be and that seems to be the case!
Stablemate and 3-time winner STORM FREE holds an entry back at Southwell on Sunday (where he was C&D winner last time out.) With no rain in the forecast this race looks a likely option but he is going to need some luck getting into the race!
All of our other flat horses remain very well – they are just patiently waiting for some rain to fall!
