Runners for week commencing 26/08/25

We hope everyone enjoyed the beautiful weather over the BH weekend? We certainly did, although we are now extremley grateful to see rain finally in the forecast for our intended runners later this week:

KOTARI (pictured above) has been tumbling down the weights lately but is well at home after a course of gastroguard and is set to return to his winning track Salisbury on Friday over a new trip of 1m6f. Good-to-soft ground is needed.

Another horse who must have soft in the description is ALPHA CRUCIS, and he holds an entry in a Class 2 contest at Sandown Park on Saturday over 1m2f. Following this he could target the £175k Cambridgeshire at Newmarket in late September.

STORM FREE ran a creditable race last week to finish 3rd at Newcastle in a valuable Racing League contest, but really we’d prefer the trainer to choose his own jockey next time (James Tate is quite specific on which jockeys suit certain horses.) STORM FREE has been kept at a winnable rating of 83 and will be ready to run again from mid-September.
