Shamahan wins at Royal Windsor in great style for his owners – just take a look at the video to see him beat the odds on favourite with ease!
He ran a promising third on his debut at Folkestone in soft conditions but with quicker ground at Windsor, he showed what he is really made of.
After the race, George Baker said “he is such a professional. He went down to post beautifully and flew out of the stalls. He went through horses with ease and showed a good turn of foot.”
Full credit must go to Gary and his team. Firstly for sticking to their guns re the distance (Shamahan certainly does have the speed for 6f) and also turning the horse out so well. He looked fantastic in the paddock and has such power in his quarters.
