More happy owners today, this time at Fontwell Park as Sisania got her hurdling career off to a winning start on her debut! Although she was a little green at times, there certainly looks more to come from this interesting 3-year old and Gary Moore is particularly excited about her future.
Sisania is a nice filly and we like her a lot. I thought she would win today and I think she has fair potential. Fair play to Marco Botti, he advised us to buy the horse in July. She´s a nice big filly who has not grown into her full strength yet. She´ll get better with age – Gary Moore, trainer, Racing Post.
Jamie Moore has been doing plenty of schooling work with Sisania at home and credit must go to him. Jamie rode a good race today, dictating the pace in a handy position and filling Sisania with confidence as she jumped each hurdle with her ears pricked despite still learning her trade. She did run quite keen on her first circuit but once the penny dropped, she settled nicely and travelled well. On the turn for home Jamie started to apply the pressure and Sisania responded strongly, pinging the second last hurdle. After a tired mistake at the last, she had to dig deep in the closing stages and plugged on gamely up the Fontwell hill to achieve her first success! What a gutsy filly!
Gary feels this is the first win of many for Sisania and believes she has the size and scope to go chasing in the future – lots to look forward to!
