Beautiful sunshine, delicious food & great company!
Over 80 Heart of the South Racing’s owners joined us for an enjoyable day on Saturday 23rd August at our regular Summer BBQ at Beggars Barn Stud. These social events provide a great opportunity for everyone to get to know fellow owners and discuss the season ahead and are always extremely popular.
Owners had the chance to meet our two yearling fillies currently at the Stud (by Aussie Rules and Hellvelyn) who will be our 2-year olds for 2015, trained by Gary Moore and Philip Hide respectively. John & Lin very kindly paraded the two beauties (both greys) for everyone to see.
We also had the opportunity to reflect on our winners since June 2013 and distributed the winning mementos amongst the lucky winning owners. We trust they now take pride and place on their mantelpieces!
It was a perfect day and we’d like to thank you all for joining us – we hope you enjoyed the afternoon as much as we did. Special thanks must be given to Caroline Penny & her friends who slaved away in the kitchen for hours to make all the lovely food.
We can’t wait for next year’s BBQ already!
