Heart of the South Racing has carefully selected our racehorse trainers not only for their training ability but also for the first-class care they give our horses, and for the access they give our owners to see their horses.
It is very important that our owners can visit their horses whenever they wish (in fact we encourage regular visits) and not have to wait for the odd organised trip. We strive to make all partnership owners feel as if they owned the horse outright and that can only come from a genuine ‘open access’ policy. We hope to see you at the stables soon!
Gary & Josh Moore
If Gary was a racehorse he would be worth £millions. “Sire” of Champion jockey Ryan Moore, Grade 1 National Hunt winning jockey’s Jamie and Josh Moore and winning jockey and accomplished horsewoman Hayley Moore. Over 10 years ago, Gary moved from his yard adjacent to Brighton Racecourse to a new 180 acre training establishment at Cisswood in Sussex, which is just a few miles from Gatwick. As of May 2024 he shares the trainers license with son Josh Moore.
Heart of the South have an office at Gary’s yard so there is always a nice cup of tea waiting when you visit. Gary is a dual purpose trainer and trains the majority of our National Hunt horses and a few of our flat horses too – both with plenty of success.
