Spirit d’Aunou starts the New Year off well as he makes it back-to-back successes winning for the second time in 4 weeks under Jamie Moore, this time at Ludlow!
The horse looked a picture in the preliminaries and it was good to see him remain totally unphased despite there being more runners in the field this time. He travelled and jumped well for the majority of the way. He was perhaps a little caught for speed turning around the final bend but when Jamie applied the pressure he responded brilliantly and soon went into 2nd place. Spirit d’Aunou then put plenty of ground between him and the eventual second between the last and second to last hurdle and he went onto win his second race cosily under a hands and heels ride.
Jamie and Gary Moore were both delighted with the horse and cannot believe how much he is improving with each run. He is likely to enjoy two more runs this season and could well take his chance at a big target before the year is out!
We are so excited for this youngsters future.
