28th April 2014, Jockey George Baker
What a day for us all as Zambeasy wins his first race at Kempton Park, breaking his maiden tag in a stylish fashion!
We held raceday hospitality for the horse’s owners on this day and after enjoying some great food in the racecourse’s restaurant so it was a massive thrill to see Zambeasy put the cherry on top of such a brilliant day by cruising home to win for the first time by 3 lengths.
Zambeasy was given a fantastic ride from George Baker, who overcame the wide draw by letting the horse lead throughout the entire race. The pair never looked to be in any real danger and Zambeasy’s lengthy stride allowed him to cross the line with a little left up his sleeve!
Huge congratulations to all owners on your first win – we expect there are many more to come! Congratulations to trainer Philip Hide too, who was always confident of Zambeasy’s ability.
