Purchased for just £15k as a 2-year old Alpha Crucis has proven to be an outstanding value buy, consistently delivering for his enthusiastic syndicate. Trained by Gary and Josh Moore, this son of Australia has won 4 races to date, including an impressive Class 2 at Goodwood in 2024 on his preferred soft ground.
Kicking off the current season with a promising run in the competitive Lincoln Handicap (for the second year running), followed by three very solid 2nd’s this season in Class 2 company, Alpha Crucis so deserves another win! Now rated 95, we hope to see his ground return as we approach the winter months.

Descending from a powerhouse pedigree, Alpha Crucis is the son of multiple Group 1 winner Australia. He is by the legendary Galileo so it was no surprise how much of a raw talent he was on the track. His race record included a win in the Epsom Derby, Irish Derby, and Juddmonte International (and a close third in the 2000 Guineas) and he has certainly made his mark as a Sire too! The Dam, Night Fairy, was a winner over 10f and she has produced several winners including dual Group 3 winner Majestic Queen, and 4-time Black Type winner Maria Amalia.
